Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

With unlikely hero Eddie Shack named as the first NHL All-Star Game MVP, the 1962 event witnessed Toronto handily defeat a team of All-Stars, slipping all four goals past a surprised Jacques Plante in the first period. Taking place on October 6, over 14,000 attended, with Howe appearing in his record 14th ASG. We have a program from the event, and it's been multi-signed by over 25. At roughly 7" x 10", the thick program features a number of the participants pictured on the cover including Hull and Plante, with 10 ballpoint signatures including Mikita, Bathgate and Hall. An additional 18 signatures are present on the center line-up, again all executed in ballpoint, with Duff, Keon, Stanley and others. A Classic LOA will accompany.
Others who have signed the cover include Frank Mahovlich, Pierre Pilote, Leo Boivin, Norm Ullman, Gump Worsley, Alex Delvecchio and Bobby Hull, with the additional signatures to the center line-up from All-Stars Prentice and Mohns along with Bower, Kelly, Baun, Litzenberger, Armstrong, Shack and others. The program itself remains in good condition with expected wear commensurate with its prior use, with some random creasing along with a few scuffs and marks. There is also some water staining, most notably along the back cover and last few pages. Despite these minor flaws, the program remains complete and solid, ideal for display.
