Three vintage scrapbook album pages start off this wonderful collection of New York Rangers-related mementos from the career of Fred "Bun" Cook. One page has an old 8" x 10" photo showing pre-game ceremonies on New York home ice against the visiting Senators. Another black sheet sports a perfect 8" x 10" photo image of Madison Square Gardens dated 1925-26. One more album page has five glued-in photos of Bill and Bun Cook with Rangers teammates Ching Johnson and others circa 1926. All three pages have newspaper clippings on the backside. A vintage photo image from 1933 shows Bun flying thru the air after scoring a goal on Eddie Shore’s Boston Bruins in a fashion very similar to Bobby Orr’s famous "flying goal" decades later! Red ink identifies Bun and Shore and points out the puck in the net. Best is the small panoramic photograph portraying the 1933 Stanley Cup Champion New York Rangers posed in dapper attire with all players identified on the back. This photo is about 5 x 8 inches and is in very good-plus condition. Lastly, an old 8 x 10 inch photo of Bun along with a number of NHL Oldtimers in their respective NHL uniforms with Tiny Thompson, Eddie Shore, Busher Jackson and others playing in support of the war effort in 1942. From the personal collection of Hall-of-Famer Bun Cook with an accompanying letter of authenticity.
