Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
The glossy team photo of the 1932-33 Stanley Cup champion New York Rangers is indeed the highlight of this vintage Bun Cook scrapbook, but loads of intriguing reading and more eye candy await the future owner including a letter written by a young fan to Bun and kept by the star. The 7” x 9” team photo features the likes of Bun and his brother Bill, Frank Boucher, Ching Johnson and Lester Patrick, and appears on page 4 of the 117-page history-revealing piece. Newspaper caricatures, action shots and game previews and recaps will thoroughly entertain the hockey historian in you. Pages are 9" by 12" and deal greatly with the Bread Line of the Cook brothers and Boucher, hockey’s greatest line of the day. Originally obtained directly from Bun Cook’s family, there is heavier wear to the front and back covers along the spine, with toning the main concern for the interior pages.
