Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Hundreds of frosted glass panels form a massive wall at the rear of the Great Hall in Toronto's Hockey Hall of Fame. Two identical panels are produced, one for the wall and the other to give to the honoured member, in this case six-time Stanley Cup champion Bryan Trottier. This HOF dual-pane glass panel from Trottier's personal collection measures 12" x 12" and features a great image of Trottier. The English and French bio lists his career totals of 524 goals and 1,425 points, his four straight Cups with the Islanders of the early-1980s and consecutive titles with Pittsburgh in 1991 and 1992, and his Calder and Hart trophy wins. This classy piece notes Trottier's induction year of 1997 and it indicates that it was presented to him at the time of his induction in November of that year. In gorgeous, near-mint condition, it comes with Bryan Trottier's signed letter of authenticity.
