Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011

This scarce and amazing personal Presidents' Trophy award was presented to Colorado assistant coach Bryan Trottier following the Avalanche's incredible 118-point performance over the 2000-01 regular season. This towering trophy is a silver plate design by Boffey of Montreal and closely approximates the look of the massive original trophy presented each year by the National Hockey League to the team that finishes with the most points in the league during the regular season. At 16 inches in height, it rises above the miniature Stanley Cups presented to each player and stretches from the black wood base to the bowl at the pinnacle supported by three silver hockey sticks. A descriptive plaque at the base lists the trophy's title along with "Bryan Trottier, Colorado Avalanche 2001". This trophy was first awarded back in 1986 and we do not believe that these miniatures were presented to all winning teams in the years since, making this one of the rarest of all of the individual league silverware. In excellent condition with some expected patina to the finish, easily polished out. Bryan Trottier's signed letter of authenticity accompanies this rare personal Presidents' Trophy.
