Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Pair of gold and diamonds tie clips from the personal collection of Bryan Trottier honors the Hall of Fame center's 1,000th NHL game. The New York Islanders star reached the milestone on October 28, 1988, in a 5-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers at the Spectrum. These gold hockey stick-and-puck pins were gifted to Bryan to commemorate the accomplishment. One of the tie-pins has 10 diamonds set in the blade. It is difficult to discern whether "14K" or "10K" is stamped on the reverse of its shaft. The other tie-pin features a longer, narrower stick with "14K" stamped on the reverse of the puck attached to the blade. Comes with Bryan Trottier's signed LOA.
