Brett Hull was still putting up very impressive numbers, even in the twilight of his career. From The Golden Brett’s time in Motown, we have this Detroit Red Wings photo-matched game-worn jersey from the 2002-03 season, his second with the club, where he netted 76 points including 37 goals, in 82 games. The jersey, which has a custom-shortened hem, has a number of team repairs including three on the right sleeve and an additional ten sewing fixes on the left sleeve. More game wear includes numerous marks to the sleeves, front and back of the jersey. The jersey is photo-matched to a pair of included photos to a pair of black marks located on the team’s crest and to the long diagonal black marks on the lower front area of the jersey. Hailing from the collection of Michael Wexler, the team patch resides over the inside hem denoting the garment as a "2002-03 Authentic Game Jersey 1st Set” example, with a COA from the Red Wings to accompany.
A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar with a “2” stenciled above. Styled with the classic embroidered winged-wheel team crest, the solid white V-neck has been accented with attractive single twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Hull” arching across the upper reverse in matching material. The jersey has embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back neckline and bottom hem respectively.
