Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010

Vibrant dureen NHL All-Star jersey was worn by Borje Salming during the 1977 game in Vancouver. Rick Martin scored twice in the third to claim MVP honors as Borje made his second of three straight All-Star appearances for the Wales Conference in a 4-3 win over the Campbells at the Pacific Coliseum. Salming was named to the First All-Star Team after finishing with 66 assists and 78 points, both career highs. Borje's dazzling orange and black jersey remains in awesome condition and is tagged in the neck by Gerry Cosby in size 50. Black and white twill #21 is sewn onto the back and both sleeves. NHL crests on each shoulder and a pair set into stars on the front are sewn on, as is the large NHL shield on the front of the jersey. "Salming" is spelled out in individual white and black twill letters sewn directly onto the jersey (no nameplate). Nice game use is revealed by a pair of unrepaired holes on the left sleeve. Borje Salming's signed letter of authenticity accompanies this gorgeous NHL All-Star gamer.
