Billy Smith’s 1982-83 Prince of Wales Trophy is a splendid reminder of the N.Y. Islanders’ road to their fourth straight Stanley Cup title. The Islanders beat Boston in six games in the Wales Conference final before defending their Cup title once again, this time against Wayne Gretzky’s Edmonton Oilers. Four silver-plated hockey sticks rise up from the base here to support a cup with removable lid, giving the award a total height of 13". “Bill Smith” is engraved along with the name of the trophy on a metal plaque on one side of the 2-inch high wooden base with a green felt bottom. Engraving on the opposite side's plaque reads "NHL Champions – New York Islanders 1982-83." Comes with Billy Smith’s signed LOA.
