Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
This 2011-12 L.A. Kings Stanley Cup championship sterling silver and diamond ring was presented to Bernie Nicholls, who was a Kings consultant when they won their first Cup in the spring of 2012. This spectacular Tiffany & Co. creation celebrating the Kings’ six-game win over New Jersey in the 2012 Stanley Cup final weighs in at a substantial 62 grams, with real diamonds on a tableau that features an enamel Kings logo on a diamond-laden Cup surrounded by a bed of diamonds. “Stanley Cup Champions” is spelled out on the bezel, with “Nicholls” above the Kings’ crown on the left shank, and the team name and their “16-4” playoff record and “2012” on the right shank. "T & Co AG 925" is stamped inside the size 10 1/2 band. Comes with Bernie Nicholls’ signed LOA and its Tiffany & Co presentation box.
The ring remains in wonderful condition with very small surface scratches that appear mostly on the back of the band. “AG 925” is sterling silver, which is by definition 92.5 percent silver.
