Talk about "The Franchise", Mario Lemieux has done and meant everything for the Pittsburgh Penguins since being selected 1st overall in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, first living up to advance billing by racking up 43 goals and an even 100 points in his initial big league season, 1984-85. Mario's Topps rookie card was released the following winter and informs that he evened scored on his first NHL shift, commencing a season that would culminate with the Calder Trophy as rookie-of-the-year. Examined years ago by PSA, this example of card #9 merited NM-MT 8 status and awaits your big-time Lemieux/rookie card stash. Some surface scratches to the front of the PSA holder are to be aware of.
