Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Looking like they were pulled from packs just recently are these stellar 1968-69 Topps cards, although as seasoned hobbyists are aware, that does not always equal mint condition. The top dozen most important/valuable cards, pulled from the nine-pocket pages where they have been housed for years, display virtually no handling or wear and possess NM-MT, NM-MT+ and MINT characteristics, but the notorious '68-69 diamond cut is observed on them, along with the vast majority of those remaining in the pages. Diamond cuts of varying degrees are present, with most not all that unsightly, with the exception, unfortunately, of the key Bobby Orr example which is additionally off-centered - darn. Ditto for the unmarked checklist, also otherwise NM-MT. The Bernie Parent RC (NM+) and cards of superstars Howe, Hull, Esposito and Sawchuk feature decent or good centering and only slight diamond cuts. The first card, 1-Cheevers, has roughness on one edge. All-in-all, fantastic cards to hold and admire - not much in life is perfect.
