Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
The premier card of the 1960s and arguably the most desirable of all cardboard hockey treasures regardless of the era, we have an immensely popular and unequivocally paramount 1966-67 Topps Bobby Orr rookie card, with this high-grade specimen encapsulated and graded NM 7 by the good people at PSA. A prerequisite for any accomplished Bruins collector and the cornerstone to a world class card collection, the consummate appeal of an Orr rookie isn’t hard to qualify, with the eight-time James Norris winner and two-time scoring leader widely considered the greatest defenceman in NHL history. With this issue especially difficult to locate in high-grade due to the flush woodgrain borders, 832 cards have been graded by PSA, with only 55 graded higher than the offered specimen including just a single Mint 9 example.
