Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Looking like they were produced yesterday, when in fact that took place over 55 years ago, are these sensational and tantalizing first-rate 1962-63 Parkhurst cards, with sharp corners, smooth edges and snowy white borders/backgrounds showing up in almost all cases and offering grading possibilities galore. We don't see much below NM-MT, with NM-MT+ and MINT labels also to be affixed to the holders after the pro graders do their inspecting. Two different of Howe, Mahovlich and Geoffrion, along with similar scorchers of Plante, Horton, Keon, Beliveau, Bower and Ullman highlight the high grade bonanza. Just a few condition exceptions are detected, with a small (less than an inch) light crease affecting 2-Duff, 6-Stewart, 16-Shack and 50-Johnson, while light corner/edge touches are observed on the first (1-Harris) and last (54-J.C. Tremblay RC) cards. Roughness along the top edge of 38-Richard is also to note, along with the absence of the (checklist) Tally Card and Zip Contest Entry Card. For those who in the past have missed the high grade '62-63 Parkie parade, now's the time to hop on the bandwagon and ride, ride while smiling and marveling!
