Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

The rookie card of the late great Johnny Bower is among the highlights of this 1954-55 Parkhurst offering, with the apparent EX card actually lowered to VG+ by a small (quarter-inch) subtle light crease, only detectable on the (Lucky Premium Card) back. The Jean Beliveau second-year card is similar, with a small corner crease. Condition leaders are 19 EX cards, with most notable being 42-Kelly and 82-Sasakamoose, the latter, like 15 others, with a Lucky Premium Card back. VG+ and VG-EX examples total 31 (a few are VG-EX+) and include 33-Sawchuk and 41-Howe at VG-EX. Among two dozen VG representatives are 1-McNeil, 8-Geoffrion, 31-Horton, 36-Delvecchio and 100-Sawchuk Stops Boom Boom. Half a dozen G entries are present (16-Lumley, 59-Schmidt), while 11 are technically lower, most of them commons which exhibit a small area of paper loss in the border. It should be noted that we spot four cards, (7-Richard, 14-Harvey, 73-Henry RC, 90-Delvecchio/Horton action) which definitely measure short or narrow, suggesting trimming, with other suspect examples spotted. Required for completion is 2-Moore.
Joining the Bower and Sasakamoose cards with Lucky Premium Card backs are #s 20-Flaman, 22, 23, 30, 37, 39, 40, 47, 48, 49, 51-Quackenbush, 55, 58, 60 and 80.
