Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/5/2013
This Howie Morenz Memorial game program is an amazing and ultra-desirable piece of hockey history. Very nicely preserved, this clean and complete 56-page program goes back to a November 2, 1937 game at the Montreal Forum. A team of NHL All-Stars faced a combined squad of Howie's Canadiens and the Maroons for the benefit of the late Morenz's family. Howie's red, white and blue Habs uniform remains vibrantly colourful on the big 9" x 12" cover of this 75-year-old treasure, which features stirring tributes penned by the likes of Elmer Ferguson and Baz O'Meara. No significant creasing here with a small tear on the cover's spine and 11 pencil "x" notations on the roster page to note.
