Those who appreciate pre-war collectibles will marvel at the Puck Picture Star Gum wrapper here, with the scarcity displaying well despite numerous small creases, lightened over the years from having been stored flat. We spot one small (right) edge tear while....marvelling at it. Meanwhile, the four background colors used for the Hamilton Chewing Gum hockey cards are all represented, with a raw rookie card of Hall of Fame defenceman Red Horner in attractive crease-free EX condition leading the contingent. Four others from the (skip-numbered) set of 21 are graded by the KSA firm and are all rookie cards. Best condition-wise are #s 23-Pit Lepine and 36-Alex Levinsky at ENM+ 6.5, with the two others slabbed EX 5; 1-Nick Wasnie and 14-Wildor Larochelle. Chips in the KSA holders affect the Levinsky and Larochelle examples which also have tape residue on the reverse. From the glorious hockey card season of 1933-34 which always garners interest.
