Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Serving as a scout for the Boston Bruins and Minnesota North Stars in his post-NHL days, Harold “Baldy” Cotton was an inaugural member of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1925, later winning a Stanley Cup with the Maple Leafs in 1932. We have a signed 1933-34 Hamilton Gum card of the Nanticoke native, with this example encapsulated and certified “AUTHENTIC AUTO” by PSA/DNA. Signed in pencil across his image, the signature displays well, with the card itself in low grade, with corner wear and a few small creases. The reverse has also been damaged, with some of the text covered by paper remnants left from prior scrapbook removal. Cotton would pass in 1984 at the age of 81.
